Jay George, PhD, believes he has the best job in the world. “Consulting as a member of the TechHelp team fulfills my commitment to developing & restoring Idaho’s manufacturing, coaching the people that make that happen, and I get to do that by learning and sharing the best ideas…it just doesn’t get any better!”
Work experience that began as a front line service worker has taught Jay the competitive advantage of learning how to learn and apply knowledge quickly; the same advantage he helps clients develop within their organizations.
Dr. George’s career has provided him the unique opportunity to work & learn from shoulder -to-shoulder leadership experience with successful Founders, Presidents , CEOs and believe it or not a Knight. Understanding that organizations are most successful when their people have a clear “line of sight” from their jobs to the company’s goals, Jay is equally passionate about the success of front line machine operators, welders and office staff. The “disconnect” between leadership and day-to-day actions led to Jay having the unpleasant experience of leading the closure of a manufacturing facility as an unsuccessful last ditch tactic to hold off company bankruptcy.
Successful Idaho organizations, including PowerBar, The Treasure Valley Family YMCA and Western Trailers have employed Dr. George as Chief Learning Officer, Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development Executive. Jay’s deep respect for all members of the workforce facilitates his work across departments, up and down the organization ladder, to help people establish a sustainable winning culture.
