With a diverse team of professionals including University PhD's, industry experts, engineers and Boise State Engineering student employees, TechHelp’s NPD team brings vibrant energy and creative new ideas to your project. Our specialists are particularly experienced in new product design and re-engineering existing products. Up to 70% of a product's costs are established in the design phase. A strategic change in materials or simplification of components can result in major cost savings that could mean the difference between market success and failure.
Our New Product Development operation at the College of Engineering at Boise State University gives us close proximity to a variety of engineering resources, such as CAD software, rapid prototyping machines, a CNC milling machine, test equipment and the vast experience of the university professors. We invite our clients to work with us, literally side-by-side, as a team to meet their unique product development needs.

“The successful development of the z-Start clutch is a testament to the value and quality of TechHelp’s services. I can honestly say that without TechHelp, Rekluse Motor Sports and the z-Start clutch would not exist today.”

Among Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Centers nationwide, TechHelp is one of only two centers that offer a full suite of New Product Development (NPD) services. Since 2002, TechHelp NPD has helped some of Idaho's top innovators develop new product ideas.
NPD isn't just about new ideas - sometimes older producs can given new life. Because product life cycles are typically two to five years, you need to constantly rethink and reinvent your products, your company and yourself.
What's your next big product or service offering? Maybe it is a new model, or a new feature, or a new product line, or how to reduce the cost of the first product. Visit TechHelp and work with us to take your idea to reality.
