Wild Gold produces healthy nutritional camelina-based supplements for horses, people, and dogs. Based in rural Gooding, Idaho, Wild Gold’s employees are “common Idahoans” seeking to create uncommon results in animal and human health.
Project
Wild Gold joined Idaho’s ExporTech Program to develop a more proactive approach to managing export opportunities. The company wanted to address immediate opportunities in Canada, Ireland, and China, and develop a long term plan to profitably expand exports. The ExporTech program paired Wild Gold with an Idaho District Export Council Coach and a Boise State International Business Student who helped develop an actionable export plan.
Results
Wild Gold exports to Canada and is positioned to export to China, Europe, and the Middle East. WG hired new employees to handle an increase in sales and the company had plans to invest in a new camelina press.
The ExporTech Program helped open up an export market in our target in Canada and provided excellent market research for our ongoing export efforts. I shipped a full pallet of product to Canada this morning and couldn’t be more thrilled.
