One Page Summary of Success Story
Serving the World from Mountain Home, Idaho
Chuck Cecceralli founded Idaho Wrecker Sales (IWS) in 1994 and built the company around the idea that wreckers (tow trucks) should be built better and last longer. That philosophy helped IWS grow into the nation’s leader of custom-built tow trucks. Cecceralli is a smart and inventive guy who leveraged his success at IWS to create a sister company, In the Ditch Towing Products (ITD) that produces towing related accessories.
Always an inventor, Cecceralli ramped up his skills in 2005 when he tapped Mechanical Engineering students at Boise State to help solve a specific engineering problem on a new product. That engagement opened Chuck’s eyes to sources of talent in Idaho and ignited an innovation explosion that inspired new products, facilities, and jobs at ITD. As ITD grew and orders rained in from overseas, the company enrolled in Idaho’s Export Excellence program to develop a proactive process for vetting and developing its best export markets.
